A-panel patching

There was a rust hole at the top of the A-panel which was filled with bog.

So I decided to cut the seam to get to it all, and be able to clean up and treat all the rust.

Patch ready to go in:

Rear beaver panel removal

Picked up some more MIG gas on Friday morning. ~$65

Spent Saturday in Brisbane look for parts and welding a patch into low'n blown for Greg.

Started to get stuck into my mini on Sunday. Attacking the rear beaver panel which was in a bit of a state:

Hacked it off:

The panel has lots of rust holes and few bingles that have been bogged up. Bog was a couple of cm thick in places. It has also oozed through some of the rust holes.
Above you can see the rust on the panel underneath and the remainder of the lower seem still attached to it.

Took a while to remove the spot welded remains of the pannel still on the shell. Parts of the seam are gone. Will need to replace.

Cleaned up with the wire weel. Ended up welding a small patch in the panel underneath and treating with converter.

Need to get a sheet of steel to make a replacement. Will have a ago at bending up the curve.
